About

David Gómez

Spain, 1993 · Stone sculptor

A contemporary sculptor specializing in direct carving in stone. His work explores the relationship between body, emotion and matter, in a language between figuration and abstraction where edges, curves and voids coexist.

He works from intuition and in dialogue with the stone, letting its resistance and its veins shape the form. He pursues this search in series such as Corpóreo and Ecos, and in Indian ink drawings that hold a presence of their own within his practice.
