Stone sculpture made to order

I carve commissioned sculptures in marble and other stones: for a home, a garden, a workplace or as a gift.

Each piece starts with a conversation and a sketch, and I carve it by hand, by direct carving. I always keep my own language: the edge, the curve and the tension between geometry and organic form. If you like one of my series, we can start from it; if you have an idea of your own, we bring it into that territory.

How it works

  • 01ConversationYou tell me what you are looking for, where the piece will go, the approximate size and your budget.
  • 02Sketch and stoneI prepare a sketch, in Indian ink or another technique, and suggest the stone that suits it best. The sketch is yours: you receive it together with the sculpture.
  • 03DepositOnce you approve the sketch, you reserve the commission with a 50% deposit.
  • 04CarvingI carve the piece in the studio and show you photos of the process.
  • 05DeliveryYou pay the remaining 50% and the piece travels in a custom wooden crate, insured and with its certificate of authenticity.

Timing and price

  • Timing
    Between 2 weeks and 1 month of carving from the moment you approve the sketch, depending on size and stone.
  • Price
    It depends on size and stone. Small pieces (up to 35 cm), from €1,200. A medium-sized piece, such as Resiliencia (60 cm), is around €3,000.
  • Payment
    50% when you approve the sketch and 50% when the piece is finished, before shipping.
  • Shipping
    Included to Spain and the European Union.
  • Stones
    Macael marble, Crema Marfil, Rosa Zarci from Cehegín, Carrara and Negro Calatorao, among others.

Portraits

I also make portraits, always in my own language: they are not realistic copies but a reading of the person through stone, with planes, edges and voids.
